KA-2242 model assembly design optimization

Before improvement:

1. During the development stage of the KA-2242 (SML-693) karaoke machine, due to the strict requirements of lighting effects and the complex structure of the lampshade, many difficulties were encountered in the assembly plan. The previous plan required 3-4 people to screw.

2. The original design required a whole bracket under the lampshade to lock the screws and required 2 people to complete, and the bracket required a set of independent molds.

After improvement:

1. After multiple rounds of discussion and verification by engineering personnel and R&D engineers, it was finally confirmed that the use of ultrasonic assembly method reduced the number of assembly personnel (completed by 1 person) and improved production efficiency.

2. The use of spray glue process reduced the number of fixed bracket personnel and saved mold opening costs and material costs.

In 2023, 31,314 units were produced, and the direct personnel were reduced by about 4 people, a set of lamp bracket molds, and lamp bracket material costs. It is estimated that the direct cost savings are about 60,000. Spacing improves production efficiency and customer satisfaction.
